This place is the best coffee shop in Huddersfield big claims but gorgeous coffee, good service and the most perfect pastries make it an ideal place to meet friends and enjoy a coffee.
I used to visit this shop often when it was tiny and located across the road from is current location. Back then it was staffed by the owners, who were two of the friendliest blokes I've come across.
The clientele is a mix of shoppers students and arty types. There is always a nice atmosphere in here and five minutes easily turns into a couple of hours. Some evenings feature late night opening and there are often great live bands or poetry readings. -

Great chilled out place to hang out. They do great smoothies & the food is good too, but sometimes the portions are a bit small.
They also have bands etc on in the evening & serve booze, for an alternative to busy town centre pubs -

Coffee Evolution is one of my new favourite places to catch up with friends and indulge in beautiful caffeine, that isn't one of my select coveted Starbucks haunts. From the outside it looks a little bit shabby, I guess the owners would prefer it to be called rustic or some such word, but to be honest I think it totally adds to the charm of the place. There are benches that don't match, again, something else I love about Coffee Evolution, that since the smoking ban have proved necessities for caffeine and nicotine addicts. You walk in and you're immediately greeted with a "what can I get for you?", there is bench and stool seating around the periphery of the coffeehouse with the till coffee bar area smack bang in the middle. Fair trade coffee is what's supplied here and you can get it hot cold in various well known combinations with syrups or without to go or to drink in. Super reasonable prices too, my large iced latte cost £1.65 and it was delicious. They do a bagel/salads/panini board, which has never failed to disappoint any of my friends when we've decided to eat and drink. There's also a downstairs area with a few mismatched sofas, chairs and tables, painted in dark colours, which again make it scruffy charming, and scatter a few bean bags around the place and it's a perfect venue for coffee poetry type nights. Really excellent customer service and excellent quality coffee.
